Judy says,

"I love feeling fit and fabulous in my 70's.  Life is so much fun when you feel good and know you are physically capable of doing things you enjoy.  I want everyone I know to do Pilates so they look and feel great also!  Really!  If I can do it so can you."

STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor

  Judy Alden

Judy retired from her previous career as a Management Consultant in 2002. She received a Sigma Cum Laude bachelor’s degree in Business. Her master’s work was in human behavior. Judy is STOTT PILATES trained and certified and is also a Certified Level Three Reiki Practitioner.

Judy began Pilates after she turned 65 in 2002. Next thing we knew, she was hooked! With encouragement from Marshall and the amazing staff at the studio, she completed the STOTT PILATES Intensive Instructor Training. Judy’s achievement required a lot of study, practice and extra courses in anatomy.

Judy has been training others in Pilates since 2004 and loves working with clients her age—she feels they understand each other. She is passionate about her work and knows she will do it for life because she loves feeling fabulous. Her arthritis pain is now minimal, her body is more flexible and she finds it empowering to feel strong and fit at her age.

Judy loves working at Marshall Eklund PILATES Studio because the environment is upbeat and supportive, and the trainers truly care about their clients and each other.

A little known fact about Judy is that she was a nude cover model. Oh, all right—it was a baby picture on the cover of Photo magazine in 1939. She walks four miles a day (rain or shine) at the beach with friends, enjoys travel, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Judy also loves anything chocolate and ethnic food, and her drink of choice is wine.
