Program Description: The MEPS Intern Program is designed to provide quality on the job training experience for high performing students who have completed:
- Intensive Mat
- Intensive Reformer
- Coaching Programs
- Have a plan for completing ICCB and ISP
This is an incredible opportunity to work with and learn from our exceptional Pilates instructors in a successful studio setting.
- Most students selected for this program are only expected to complete this initial 100 hr Internship. This part-time position provides the opportunity to work specific shifts under the direction of MEPS highly skilled staff. Interns will be expected to know and follow studio processes and training guidelines. You will receive frequent valuable feedback from the studio staff to assist you in becoming an effective and successful trainer. This Internship is an unpaid learning experience.

INTERN PROGRAM PREREQUISITES
Marshall Eklund Pilates and Fitness is known for the excellence of our staff and our training. We pride ourselves on making each client feel welcome and comfortable and providing the best possible training for their needs and condition. Our studio environment is professional and respectful with clients and other staff. We expect our Interns to reflect this studio culture. Here are prerequisites to be considered for our Intern Program:
- Complete IMP and IR courses and Coaching Program (or equivalent).
- Possess a working knowledge of all of the Essential and Intermediate exercises from IMP and IR.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Coaching Program (teaching others).
- Please consider every coaching session a practical interview for the being chosen as an intern
- Timeliness, attitude, ability to assimilate information, demonstration, self motivation to study and improve weaknesses outside of studio.
- Demonstrate timeliness in attendance of all programs
- Demonstrate the ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with clients of all ages and abilities as well as the MEPS staff.

- No socializing with other students during shift
- Dress in a professional manner.
- Neat clothes, neat hair, assume your appearance is being judged every hour you are in the studio--- like it or not you are being judged!
- Be open to feedback and able to assimilate and incorporate feedback in your teaching, more than open--- looking forward to it.
- Acknowledge this is a personal business—the feedback is personal.
- Understand that your intern position includes some of the studio maintenance and environmental duties (pick up, take out trash, tidy, etc.).
